Osteopathy is a whole body approach to manual medicine, looking to improve or re-establish balance and health. Osteopathy uses the sciences of anatomy, physiology and medical diagnosis techniques with manipulative osteopathic techniques.
Osteopathy is an allied health modality registered with the government through AHPRA. All Osteopaths have a 5 year University qualification.
Osteopaths use many varied techniques in their treatments to maximise the function of your skeleton, joints, muscles, connective tissue, nervous system and circulation in a holistic way. We firstly take a thorough history and then evaluation of your musculo-skeletal system to arrive at an accurate diagnosis. Treatment techniques may include massage, joint mobilisation, manipulation and/ or balancing and fascial unwinding. Osteopathy is not a recipe modality, with each treatment appropriate to the person presenting.
